Remembering beautiful gardens from 2016-Magnificent Montrose

Entry way to the Tropical Garden

Montrose Gardens in Hillsborough, October 2016

I’m not usually a tropical garden person, but it would be impossible not to love Nancy Goodwin’s magnificent, lush tropical garden at Montrose. There was a profusion of perennials and annuals all merging and blending with each other giving the illusion of wildness. However, the mixture of textures, colors and forms are anything but random. This is a true master at work, with years of dedicated service to the creation of a garden par excellence.

Visits by appointment only- this is a garden experience you do not want to miss
