Showing remarkable restraint, I only bought 6 plants at the MG plant sale this morning. However, the gathered multitudes of other gardeners ( some from as far as Danville!) were scooping up the deals and carrying out the plants in boxes on carts.. Today is overcast, cool and there is a slight drizzle of rain-perfect planting weather!

On my return home, I was surprised to see that my “Paper Butterfly” daylily had started blooming again and looking lovely beside some bright pink dianthus. So re-blooming day lilies are not an urban myth!
